Jailbreak: no more baiting
Baiting is when a guard walks into a group of prisoners who are standing still and following orders, and stays there. It invites a prisoner to knife the guard, and that prisoner then gets punished for it. Now a meter catches it automatically. Every guard except the warden has one, and only you see your own.
In the picture: what the guard sees, from the first hint to the final warning.
What fills it: walking into a still group of prisoners and staying close to them, circling them, or stepping in and out again and again.
What does not count:
- Walking or running past prisoners, or through a crowd to get somewhere.
- Watching from your post 4 to 7 bodies away: only a hint to keep a bit more distance.
- Prisoners walking up to you while you stand still: a hint to step back, at most a warning, never a slap.
- Chases and fights: a prisoner running at you or a rebel nearby pauses it.
- Prisoners behind a wall or on another floor.
How the % works (a player is about one body wide):
- It starts only after you linger next to a group for about 1.5 seconds.
- Inside or touching the group: +20% a second. Within about 4 bodies: +10% a second. Further away: nothing.
- Coming back to a group within a minute costs extra each time, so stepping in and out does not reset it.
- 3 seconds after it stops rising it drains 2% a second.
What happens:
- 25%: a warning on your screen.
- 50%: a small slap that pushes you away from the prisoners. The prisoners in that group are told.
- 75%: a final warning.
Always off for the warden, on special days, freedays and last requests, in warmup, and for prisoners still in their cells or inside a warden's game area.
Tips for guards: watch line-ups and stacks from a few steps away, not from inside them. If you see the warning, take a few steps back and it drains on its own.
